Entry #17

Newbie

1) Outfit Design

I drew this outfit design during art class.  I drew inspiration from current trends amongst teens and on the many doll accounts on Instagram.  I had also wanted to make a cardigan forever.  The top is a floral sweetheart crop top made out of a light blue cotton weave with very delicate flowers.  It has velcro in the back.  The cardigan is made from a peachy/coral knit fabric that I hand tie-dyed a few years ago (so it's not perfectly even in tone).  The skirt has a thick white elastic to hold it up.  It is a simplified version of a colorblock skirt.  Most of the skirt is made from oxford cloth with white and blue stripes.  The rest is also oxford cloth, but it is a very pale pink.  For shoes, I used the Bow Toe Flats from American Girl.  The cardigan and top were made with modified Liberty Jane/Pixie Faire patterns.  I made the skirt without a pattern.
